RVA’s Zamora makes all-star first team


    Rogue Valley Adventist senior Savanah Zamora has been chosen to the first team in all-star voting by the Mountain Valley League volleyball coaches.

    Zamora is a 5-foot-5 setter and outside hitter. She’ll lead the Red Tail Hawks in a Class 1A first-round state playoff game at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Douglas.

    RVA is 14-8 overall and placed third in the MVL with a 9-4 record.

    The Hawks’ Paris Quave, a junior defensive specialist, received honorable mention.

    Coach of the year: Sue Thompson, Hosanna Christian.

    Player of the year: Meredith Bush, Hosanna Christian.
