Evacuation level drops for portion of southwest Medford

Evacuation levels were downgraded for a part of southwest Medford at midday Wednesday, but orders and warnings hold for much of southern Jackson County.

Medford area residences in the Almeda fire evacuation area north of South Stage, East South Stage and Campbell roads were downgraded to Level 2 “Get Set” evacuation warning shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Everything south of South Stage Road remains at Level 3 “go” evacuation levels — including the entire city of Phoenix, most of Talent, and portions of Ashland.
