    May 4, 1937 - February 4, 2017

Carol Elaine Ferko Artmire went to be with Jesus February 4, 2017 with her husband and two daughters by her side. She was born May 4, 1937 in Portland, Oregon to Alice and James Ferko.

Carol attended school in Portland and graduated from Roosevelt High School. She then moved to Medford, Ore. and worked on obtaining her teaching degree at Southern Oregon College. Before she could finish she met the “one” love of her life, Frank Artmire. They met while attending Medford Assembly of God Church. After a month courtship they were married November 1, 1959. Frank brought his bride to his hometown of Prospect, Ore. where they made their home together for 58 years. During that time they had many good memories, the two most special being the births of their two daughters, Brenda and Joy.

Carol was a homemaker and wonderful mother who helped Frank with custodial work at the school and helped at the two gas stations they owned. Her smile was infectious, her handwriting was beautiful. She glowed with her love of life and the joy of sharing Christ’s message. Carol loved teaching children’s Sunday school at Prospect Assembly of God Church for over 30 years. She was very devoted to her church and bringing her family with her. She loved fishing, painting pictures, and was a strong supporter of the athletic programs at Prospect High School. Her support continued long after the girls were done participating. She also greatly enjoyed her time with her family.

Carol is survived by her husband, Frank Artmire; daughters, Brenda Wright, and Joy Artmire; grandson, Raymond Wright; and granddaughter, Krissandra (Phillip ) Aguon; and great-grandsons, Oliver and Sterling Aguon. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Ann Ferko Young.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Tuesday Luncheon, c/o Prospect Community Club, P.O. Box 37, Prospect, Ore. 97536

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. February 11, 2017 at Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel.
