    Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church

    Great Vespers begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church, in the Shoppes at Exit 24, 205 Fern Valley Road, Suite Z. Matins prayers begin at 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, and Divine Liturgy will be served at 9:30 a.m. A Thanksgiving-themed potluck meal precedes the annual Parish Assembly following the service.     Rogue River Seventh-Day Adventist Church

    Christian Paul will present a free violin and song concert at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Rogue River Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4300 N. River Road, Rogue River.

    First Presbyterian Church, Medford

    Pastor Murray Richmond will speak at both the 8:30 a.m. informal service and 10:30 a.m. traditional service Sunday, Nov. 12, at First Presbyterian Church, 85 S. Holly St., Medford. The informal service features more contemporary music led by the Son Shine Singers in a casual atmosphere. The traditional service features a full chancel choir and pipe organ music in a formal sanctuary. This week the bell choir will perform.

    The church's Jazz Vespers program will feature the Ed Dunsavage Trio doing a tribute to the masters of jazz guitar. The free event will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday. The performance will include the music of guitarists Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green and Pat Martino, among others.
