Joseph and Beverly Walker of Medford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an afternoon reception hosted by the couple's daughters June 20, 2015, at the Twin Creeks band shell in Central Point. Pastor Lee Gregory served as emcee, and the celebration included music from the 1960s and a light lunch.

Joseph Walker married Beverly Anderson June 19, 1965, at Zion Lutheran Church in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have two daughters, Cherisa Wooley (husband David) of Central Point, and Reana Holston (husband Charles) of Medford, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Joe worked for Bridger Coal Company in Rock Springs, Wyo., before moving to Medford and working for Papé Caterpillar. Bev started her 38-year career in travel in Rock Springs, and retired from Jackson Travel in Medford.

The couple enjoyed many years of travel together, and Joe did several short-term mission trips for their church. They are longtime members of the Medford Neighborhood Church.

Family and church are their priorities now, and they cherish every day they have together.
