Lyndall and Peggy Dodson of Central Point marked their 65th anniversary with a celebration hosted by their children Aug. 1, 2015, at the Eagle's Lodge. About 80 people attended the buffet ceremony for a luncheon and dancing in their honor.

Lyndall Dodson married Peggy Unsell Aug. 5, 1950, in Merced, Calif. They have two children, Lynn Ann Saaranen (husband Kevin) of Gold Hill and David Dodson (wife Cathy) of Bend; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. They met in high school and married soon after graduation.

Lyndall served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 and was stationed in Wyoming, Texas and Japan. In 1965, the couple moved to Oregon, where they owned and operated Central Point Plywood for 35 years before selling the business and retiring.

In retirement Lyndall and Peggy love to travel, especially to Hawaii. They enjoy spending time poolside at their home with family and friends.
