Sandi and Clarence Davis of Central Point celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner reception given by sister Pam Snow and daughter Jackie Thorsness on Aug. 23 during a North Umpqua River camping trip. About 40 people attended.
Clarence Davis married Sandi Wittkopf on Aug. 22, 1964.
Initially they traveled around Idaho, Washington and Oregon as Clarence worked in the field in the fire-protection industry. In 1973, they settled in Central Point and have lived there ever since. Both Sandi and Clarence work for Viking Sprinkler Company in Medford, where Clarence has worked for 42 years and Sandi for seven years. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
The couple's children are Jackie Thorsness (husband Brian) of Philomath and Jim Davis (wife Elaine) of Medford. They have four grandchildren, Kelly Newcombe, Kyle and Kayla Thorsness, and Alex Davis, and one great-grandchild, Brooklyn.
