ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum is providing telescopes and experts for a guided tour of the night sky for International Observe the Moon Night.

Experts from Southern Oregon Skywatchers will be on hand to help guide the public to view the moon, planets and other celestial objects from 7-9 p.m. today in the ScienceWorks field at 1500 East Main St. in Ashland.

International Observe the Moon Night is an annual worldwide public event that encourages observation, appreciation and understanding of our Moon and its connection to NASA planetary science and exploration,” ScienceWorks announced in a release. “The annual event connects scientists, educators and lunar enthusiasts from around the world.”
