Jacksonville's newest gallery

Art Presence of Jacksonville will host its premiere exhibit in its new gallery space in the historical Jackson County Jail, 216 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville. The exhibit, showcasing art by 30 artists, will be displayed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday, April 27-29. An opening reception, catered by Bella Union with wine provided by Wooldridge Creek Winery, will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 27. Art Presence, which operates under the nonprofit umbrella of the Southern Oregon Arts Council, leased the building through December from the Jacksonville Heritage Society.
