'Inspired by Science'

Science and art unite on the Southern Oregon University campus. "Inspired by Science," an exhibit of artwork connected to science, will be displayed through Sept. 3 at three locations on the SOU campus — the Center for Visual Arts, located on the eastern edge of campus; the Hannon Library; and the Student Union gallery. The exhibit is sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The show features 33 artists.

A group show, along with one-person show by Hiroko Yoshimoto of Los Angeles, as well as a Cryptogam Biodiversity exhibit provided by SOU's biology department, will be featured in the CVA. Work by the National Wildlife Forensics Laboratory and cover illustrations from Science magazine will be displayed inside the Hannon Library. A second group show, featuring a variety of media, will be displayed at the SU gallery.

All exhibits are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 541-552-6245.
