Late nights at OCT

Cabaret-style entertainment by New York song and dance artists Christopher George Patterson and Dante Sterling — along with local dancers Suzanne Seiber, Marc Barsekian, Shea Johnson and Tony Kupsick and local musicians Thomas MacKay, Paul Jenny and Tom Freeman — will be presented at 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29-30, at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre, at First and Hargadine streets, Ashland.

The late-night shows will feature a score that blends Broadway, pop and R&B and a lot of dancing.

"The roof will definitely be rocking at the Cabaret," Patterson states in a press release. "Over the years, the Cabaret has become my second home. I love the audiences and am so excited to tell my story and celebrate the great American song and dance men with friends."

Patterson will perform interpretations of Sammy Davis Jr.'s "Pure Imagination" and "Candy Man," along with a Bob Fosse-inspired version of "Le Jazz Hot" and Jamiroquai's funky "Canned Heat."

Sterling, Barsekian, Johnson and Kupsick also will appear in OCT's upcoming production of "The Wizard of Panto-Land," opening Nov. 19.

Doors open at 11 p.m. Tickets cost $15 and are available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the OCT box office, by calling 541-488-2902 or at the door. A bistro menu will be available.
