“I’m better-looking than my head shot,” says Seattle-based comedian Brad Brake. Brake performs Jan. 25 at Ground Zero. Another Seattle comic, Simon Kaufman, will open the show for Brake.

The weekend comedy lineup

Comedian Brad Brake is still trying to get over his divorce. "It just never gets any better," Brake says. "But I'm trying to move on. It helps to date other women. I mean just having other women in my apartment makes me put the photographs of my ex away.

"I have to be choosy though, because if I bring home someone I don't like, I still have to be nice, but then they never go away.

"I don't know why people date, really," he says.

Brad Brake and Simon Kaufman will perform at 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Ground Zero, 123 S. Front St., Medford.

Brake is a Seattle-based comic who performs at clubs and festivals around the country. He's slated to perform in September at the California Comedy Festival in Los Angeles.

Comedic musical duo Paul and Storm will play to a sold-out crowd Friday, Jan. 25, at Chadwick's Pub. But there are still laughs to be had on Saturday, Jan. 26, when Dan Moore and Sherry Japhet perform at 8 p.m. at Chadwick's in the Rogue Regency Inn, 2300 Biddle Road, Medford.

Moore also is based in Seattle. His act is big-city funny with plenty of opinions about politics.
