The 30-member Rogue World Ensemble will present folk music from South Africa, North America, Peru, Bulgaria, Croatia and various other parts of the world at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the First United Methodist Church of Ashland, 175 N. Main St. Instrumentation for the choir will be provided by Steve Berman on mandolin and Olaf Sodderback on accordion. The quartet Rusulka will open the show with traditional Eastern European folk music. Advance tickets cost $10 and are available at Heart and Hands. Tickets cost $12 at the door. Senior and student tickets cost $8, and ages younger than 12 will be admitted free. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Proceeds from the show will benefit Rogue Valley Farm to School, a nonprofit that coordinates connections between local growers and school lunchrooms.
