Live folk, Americana, country and bluegrass is set for the second annual Music in the Mountains festival to be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24-25, at the Prospect Hotel, 391 Mill Creek Drive, off Highway 62. The weekend lineup includes duo John Hill & Jill Yvonne, punkgrass band Stereotyped, acoustic guitarist Jesse Woodside, fingerstyle guitarist Brooks Robertson, bluegrass band Eight Dollar Mountain and country rock band Apropos Musique. An open jam will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 8 p.m. Saturday on the hotel's veranda. Country band Smokey and Friends will play at 9 p.m. next door at the Trophy Room Saloon. Arts, crafts and a quilt show will be available throughout the weekend. A two-day festival tickets costs $30, $18 for one day. Discounts for youths and half-day passes are available.
