Funnyman Sean Morey

KBOY 95.7 and Donnelly's Sports Pub will present comedian Sean Morey with shows set for 6:30 and 8 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Donnelly's, 2980 Crater Lake Highway, Medford.

Funnyman Morey is the writer of hilarious tunes, such as "The Man Song," "Dear Santa, I Want a Stick" and "He Said, She Heard."

"I don't take no crap from anybody "… else but you," sings Morey in his radio hit "The Man Song." Each line starts out with a macho roar and ends with a henpecked whimper as in "I'm the man of this house "… until you get home," or "I don't want to hear a lot of whining "… so I'll shut up."

Morey writes songs about everything, including "Dickin' Around at Work," "Repo Man is Coming to Town" and "The ADD Song."

"Dear Santa" and "ADD" won first and third place, respectively, in the comedy category of the International Songwriting Competition. The category was judged by "Weird Al" Yankovic, Cheech Marin and David Cross.

Morey began his career in Boston, where he graduated from Northeastern University. He worked as a street entertainer, opened a comedy school and performed Friday nights at the Charles Playhouse.

When Morey moved to Los Angeles, he won first place in the Southern California Comedy Competition, leading to three appearances on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. Tickets to the shows at Donnelly's cost $12 in advance, $15 at the door and are available at Donnelly's or KBOY Studios. Call 541-245-2755.
