The annual Battle of the Bones will feature barbecued meats, microbrews, wine and live music from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 26, and noon to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 27, at Twin Creeks Park, 555 Twin Creeks Crossing (off North Haskell Street), Central Point.
The Battle of the Bones is a people's choice competition where visitors vote for their favorite food and beverage.
Barbecue, microbrew or wine-tasting tickets cost $10 each. Barbecue and microbrew-tasting tickets can be purchased together for $15. A barbecue ticket includes a one-ounce sample of meat from each barbecue team.
Teams represent caterers and restaurants in the Rogue Valley, such as Rogue Barbecue, The Flying Pig, Cuisine De Jour and others, along with backyard barbecuers.
On Saturday, the teams will be preparing pulled pork, and on Sunday they'll use beef brisket from Painted Hills Natural Beef.
Thirteen breweries will provide 31 ales on tap, and there will be wines from five regional wineries. A microbrew-tasting ticket will include 16 2-ounce tastes and a souvenir pint glass. A wine-tasting ticket will include 12 single-ounce tastes and a souvenir wine glass. Valid photo identification is required to participate in the microbrew and wine tasting.
Live music will be provided each day at Battle of the Bones. Here's the schedule:

People's Choice and Judge's Choice awards will be held at 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. People's Choice microbrew and wine awards will be presented at 7:50 p.m. Sunday.
