Pheasant Fields Farm: Harvest Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through October at the 20-acre farm, 1865 Camp Baker Road, Phoenix. Activities include a corn maze, hay rides, face painting, pumpkin carving, animal exhibits, 10-passenger cow train and country store with local organic produce, handcrafted items, bread, caramel apples, espresso drinks and meal choices. Activity tickets are $1.25. Flashlight nights in the corn maze are offered from 7 to 10 p.m. on select evenings in October. Admission for the flashlight night is $6, $4 for kids 6 and younger. Fall Celebration: Shooting Star Nursery will host its annual Apple Tasting and Fall Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Shooting Star Nursery, 3223 Taylor Road, Central Point. Hanley Farm Haunted Adventure: Take a guided tour by lantern across a field at Hanley Farm during “The Mystery of the Lady in Black: A Haunted Field Walk” Sunday, Oct. 14, and Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21 at the farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point. Look for encounters with talkative townspeople, a mysterious cornfield and a dark, musty cave. Tours are recommended for ages 5 and older. Nightmare Chamber Haunted House: This year’s theme for Randall’s horror haunt is “Evil Dead,” after the 1981 film by director Sam Raimi. Sequels to the film, “Evil Dead 2” and “Army of Darkness,” released in 1987 and 1992. Visitors familiar with the series will recognize iconic scenes designed by Randall’s executive director Robin Downward. The haunt opens at 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 18-21, Friday through Wednesday, Oct. 26-31, and Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3, at Randall Theatre, 20 S. Fir St., Medford. Tickets are $12 and are available at randalltheatre.com or at the door. Tickets discounted $2 can be purchased at all Magic Man Fun Shops in Medford and Grants Pass. Fast passes are $15 and allow visitors to skip wait time. Regular tickets can be upgraded to Fast Passes for $5 at the door.
Just Scream Haunted House: Just Scream Halloween presents a haunted house from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27, at 604 W. Main St., Medford. The frightful haunted house features a dark world of zombies, ghouls and goblins. Children under age 7 will not be admitted. Kids 7-12 must be accompanied by an adult. Childcare is available. Gold Hill Halloween Haunted House & Graveyard: A two-story family-friendly haunted house more than 100 years old is the setting for ghoulish good fun and treats for all ages from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 19-20 and Oct. 26-27, and Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 504 First Ave., Gold Hill. Also look for a bake sale for goodies and spooky treats. Tickets are $5 for ages 13 and over, $3 for ages 6-12, $1 for ages 3-5 and free for ages 2 and younger. Puss ‘n Boots Ball: The 27th Annual Puss ‘n Boots Costume Ball and Auction will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. Tickets are $50 and include dinner, dessert and dancing to live music by The Rogue Suspects. Additional activities include Halloween costume contests, silent auctions and several opportunities to make donations.
