Folk and rock artist Brandi Carlile will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Britt Pavilion, 350 S. First St., Jacksonville. British singer and songwriter Jade Bird will open the show. Rogue Eagles R.C. Club Charity Airshow
The club will host its 40th annual airshow at noon Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 25-26, at Agate Skyways on East Antelope Road in Eagle Point. Look for model World War I and World War II fighters, electric planes, jets, drones and gliders. Batman and Superman also may appear in the sky. There will be a candy drop, an RC aircraft raffle, and an RC flight simulator. Food and drinks will be available both days. To get there take Highway 62 north, turn right on Highway 140, right on East Antelope Road, and follow the signs to Agate Skyways. Admission is $5 for adults, free for kids, and proceeds benefit Children’s Miracle Network.

Moor general Othello’s military successes are overshadowed by his marriage to Venetian Desdemona. The newlyweds set out to overcome all obstacles, but Othello’s assignment to a new location draws them into the demonic web of his lieutenant Iago in Shakespeare’s most intimate tragedy.
