Bagpipe and Hurdy Gurdy Festival

Roots Academy and Rogue World Ensemble will host a bagpipe and hurdy-gurdy jam session, followed by stories about the early instruments of bagpipe family, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, at Headwaters, 84 Fourth St., Ashland. There will be a concert at 8 p.m. Pat O’Scannell will play hurdy-gurdies, whistles and percussion; Kevin Carr will play bagpipes from around the world; and Paula Costas will play percussion and sing.

Advance tickets cost $15; $10 for seniors and students. Tickets will cost $20, $15 for seniors and students, at the door. Those 14 and younger get in free. Call 541-483-9757 or see
