Five Eagle Point softball players, led by first-teamers Gillian Willis and Miyah Smith, were honored in Class 5A all-state voting.
Second-team selections for the Eagles were pitcher Riley Shopp and catcher Samantha Thompson, and outfielder Corie Dodge was on the third team.
All except the sophomore Shopp are seniors.
Willis, an infielder, batted .577, drove in 21 runs and scored 29. She had 17 stolen bases, 13 doubles and struck out only six times in 90 plate appearances.
Miyah Smith was chosen as a utility/designated player. She batted .341, 25 RBIs, 22 runs and 14 stolen bases. In the circle, she was 4-1 with a 3.68 ERA.
Shopp had a 14-7 record and 2.21 ERA. She struck out 126 batters in 135 innings.
Thompson hit .506 with five home runs, 37 RBIs and 30 runs. She struck out four times in 94 plate appearances and threw out 10 runners attempting to steal.
Dodge batted .441 and collected 15 RBIs.
