PREP BASKETBALL: Zamora powers RVA girls

Rogue Valley Adventist avenged its only loss this season with a 33-25 girls basketball victory over visiting Paisley Thursday.

Senior Savanah Zamora had 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Red Tail Hawks in the Mountain Valley League contest. They improved to 12-1 overall and 7-1 in league.

Paisley defeated RVA, 31-26, on Dec. 19.

Also for the Hawks, Paris Quave recorded 10 points and three steals, and Zoe Belovitch had six points, six rebounds and two assists.

RVA led 15-12 at halftime and put the Broncos (9-4, 5-3 MVL) away with a 9-3 advantage in the fourth quarter.

Boys

PAISLEY 52, RV ADVENTIST 29: Paisley pulled away in the second half for the Mountain Valley League win.

Rogue Valley Adventist (7-6, 2-6 MVL) got five points, four assists and 10 rebounds from Isaiah Christensen.

Ruben Tovar led the Red Tail Hawks — who trailed 22-12 at halftime — in scoring with seven points, and Caleb Jackson tallied six. Malachi Sitowski added four points and seven rebounds.

Paisley is 6-7 and 5-3.
