GRANTS PASS — Behind Isaiah Christensen’s near-triple double and Caleb Jackson’s career-high 28 points, the Rogue Valley Adventist boys basketball team overwhelmed host New Hope Christian for a 66-28 victory in the season opener Monday.
Christensen, a junior, turned in 17 points, 14 rebounds and nine steals while the sophomore Jackson also registered 15 boards for the Red Tail Hawks (1-0), who outrebounded New Hope Christian, 47-14.
The Red Tail Hawks also picked up eight points and nine assists from Ruben Tovar.
MILO ACADEMY 58, PROSPECT 30: At Days Creek, Prospect was unable to keep up with Milo Academy, and the Cougars were topped in the nonleague contest.
Prospect fell to 1-3 and Milo Academy jumped to 2-3 overall.

MILO ACADEMY 28, PROSPECT 26: At Days Creek, Prospect suffered a narrow defeat to nonleague foe Milo Academy.
The Cougars dropped to 2-2 overall while Milo upped its record to 2-3.
ROGUE VALLEY ADVENTIST 38, NEW HOPE CHRISTIAN 15: At Grants Pass, Savannah Zamora generated 12 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists for the Red Tail Hawks, who led wire-to-wire in the season-opener over host New Hope Christian.
RV Adventist (1-0) got eight points apiece from Zoe Belovitch and Madelyn Bennett. Belovitch also had six rebounds and a pair of steals while Bennett pulled down seven rebounds.
