The visiting Lincoln Potters had 16 hits, including three home runs, to beat the Medford Rogues 16-11 on Wednesday at Harry & David Field.
Will Law went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs and Walker Dodero went 2-for-6 with a home run and five RBIs as Lincoln scored six in the second and five in the fifth to break out to a 14-4 lead in the second game of season for both teams.
Medford scored five in the sixth and two in the eighth to get within three runs at 14-11, but the Potters added two insurance runs in the ninth.
Micah Hunter picked up the victory despite surrendering nine runs, five earned, on 11 hits in five innings. Bobby Voortmeyer took the loss after giving up eight earned runs on 10 hits in four innings.
Right-fielder Riley Kasper went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs and left-fielder Josh McIntyre 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI to lead the Rogues (1-1). Former South Medford Panther Cole Carder batted leadoff for the Rogue and went 2-for-6 with two runs scored.
Medford and Lincoln complete their three-game series tonight at Harry & David. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 6:35 p.m.
