North Valley nips Ashland

ASHLAND — The Ashland girls soccer team allowed an early second-half goal that broke a 1-all tie with North Valley, delivering a 2-1 victory for the Knights on Monday.

After the Knights (4-0) sprung out to the lead with a goal in the 10th minute, junior Mary Wilson answered with a tally of her own to even the score for the Grizzlies (1-4-1) on an assist from Emeline Clark in the 17th minute.

North Valley’s go-ahead score came in the 52nd minute to keep the Knights undefeated.

The Knights outshot the Grizzlies, 9-3.
