TALENT — Freshman Victor Martinez continued the dazzling start to his career while putting on a show for Phoenix fans in the boys soccer team’s first home game of the season on Monday.

Martinez put the Pirates (5-0, 2-0 Sky) on the scoreboard in the ninth minute on a pass from Johnny Esquivel and gave them a 2-0 lead five minutes later on Cain Vargas’ assist.

Bryson Flenner set up Martinez in the 56th minute as the freshman completed the feat.
