Loggers take home MVL hoops accolades

Butte Falls senior Harley Casillas was named the Mountain Valley League's player of the year and two other Loggers were honored to the all-league second team.

Butte Falls head coach Kim Horn was awarded co-coach of the year honors along with Triad's Jason Young.

Quinton Weaver and Josh McGonagle were second-team selections for the Loggers, who finished 20-7 overall and 12-2 in league play.

On the girls side, Mariah Moore was named to the second team and teammate Beth Sutfin was an honorable mention for Butte Falls (8-16, 5-9).

Amanda Dark of North Lake received the girls' player of the year award and Hosanna Christian's Tony Bush was named coach of the year.
