Hosanna Christian pounces on Prospect girls

KLAMATH FALLS — The Prospect girls basketball team continued its frustrating trend of starting slow and coming in strong in the second half in a 55-17 Mountain Valley League loss Wednesday against host Hosanna Christian.

Alivia Fulton, one of seven freshmen who comprise Prospect’s senior-less, 10-player squad, scored all of her team-high eight points in the fourth quarter after picking up four fouls in the first half for the Cougars (3-19, 1-9 MVL), who dropped their sixth straight.

“We’ve just gotta do a better job of playing a full game and not half a game,” Prospect coach Brian Purnell said.

Meredith Bush, a junior guard, finished with a game-high 13 points to lead the Lions (15-5, 7-4).
