Four Loggers named all-SCL

Four Butte Falls softball standouts were recently named to the all-Southern Cascade League second team.

Senior catcher Breanna Wright, junior pitcher/shortstop Catherine Anderson, sophomore first baseman Aarika Stephens, and sophomore second baseman Cheyenna Kirkpatrick received mention on the list after the Loggers' finished 12-11 overall, 4-8 and fourth-place in the SCL.

Wright led Butte Falls with a .333 batting average while Stephens recorded the most extra-base hits for the Loggers.

Anderson was a clutch hitter and solid defender, Butte Falls coach Ronni Burg said, while Kirkpatrick anchored the right side of the Loggers' defense at second base.

Junior pitcher Jade Martinez of league-champion Chiloquin and Lost River senior pitcher Morgan Hammers earned co-players of the year.
