Totems skate past Spartans

Braden Sanchez and Cam Gross each had a goal and two assists and Seattle found the net three times in the second to take control en route to a 7-3 victory over the Southern Oregon Spartans in Western States Hockey League action Friday at The RRRink.

The game was tied 1-1 heading into the second after Southern Oregon’s Hayden Moistner scored midway through the first, but the visitors took over from there as Sanchez and Temirlan Skindirov tallied back-to-back goals to make it 3-1.

Southern Oregon’s Kaleb Rasmuson scored with 15 minutes, 33 seconds to go to cut the deficit to 4-3, but the Totems responded by scoring three times in the last four minutes.
