Spartans halt three-game skid

Logan Emery scored two goals and dished out three assists, Eric Vanderhoff had two goals and an assist and the Southern Oregon Spartans beat the Seattle Totems 7-2 Saturday at The RRRink.

The Totems (21-11) scored early in the second period to cut the deficit to 2-1, but Southern Oregon’s Hayden Moistner with 7 minutes, 6 seconds to go in the period to ignite a five-goal surge by the Spartans (10-24).

Emery had two goals in the game-breaking run for Southern Oregon, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Spartans goalie Gabriel Lessard had 29 saves.
