Rogues alter late-season schedule

The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox will replace the Klamath Falls Gems as the opponents for the Medford Rogues for Friday and Saturday night to finish out the 2018 Great West League regular season. The Rogues will defend their 2017 GWL Championship starting Sunday against the Lincoln Potters at Harry & David Field.

The games scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday against the Klamath Falls Gems have been canceled due to the Gems being unable to field a team.

“We would like to thank the league for creatively adjusting the schedule to allow our fans to experience more games at Harry and David Field this summer,” said Rogues COO Dave May. “The Gold Sox are a top-notch organization, and our players are excited to play them again to end the season.”

All games will start at the usual time of 6:35 p.m.; gates open at 5:30 p.m. Fans can call the Rogues’ Front Office at 541-973-2883 to purchase tickets.

“We can’t understate how patient and understanding our fans have been during this process. Our thoughts are first and foremost with the families who have lost their homes, businesses, livelihoods, and so much more due to the fires in the past few weeks,” said May. “We are excited to get back on the field to play baseball and provide an escape from the tragedies that are plaguing our community.”
