NORTH MEDFORD MAVERICKS 11-5, KLAMATH FALLS EAGLES 1-4: Three innings after starting pitcher Tyler Dunlevy left the mound with the score tied, Dunlevy delivered the game-winning hit that helped host North Medford sweep Klamath Falls in an Area 4 doubleheader.

With the game tied at 4-all in the bottom of the 10th inning and Ryan Kloek standing on second with one out, Dunlevy dropped a bloop single into center field that plated Kloek and won the contest.

Dunlevy struck out 12 over seven innings and allowed four runs on six hits and one walk. In relief, Nick Samudio tossed three shutout innings to earn the win.

Both Dunlevy and Owen Grafton finished 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Josh Baptiste went 2-for-5.

In the opening game, the Mavericks (19-13, 12-7 Area 4) racked up nine runs in the first inning on four hits — three were doubles —and were the beneficiaries of five walks and two errors.

Samudio had a two-run double in the frame and finished 2-for-2 with two doubles and two runs scored.

Owen Grafton fanned five over five innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and three walks.
