Brian Blackwell rolled a 300 game in the Monday Night Rogue League at Lava Lanes.

Sarah Holst tied for third in the senior women's epee at the Columbia International Regional Open Circuit Tournament in Beaverton last weekend.

Ranked seventh in a field of 26 fencers, Holst fell to her semifinal opponent, 15-14. Holst's opponent went on to take second in the tournament.

Holst won her pool and advanced to the direct elimination round as the No. 3 seed, where she picked up 15-9 and 15-7 victories.

No stranger to the perfect shot, Mike Kilgore made a hole-in-one on the 13th hole at the Rogue Valley Country Club on Nov. 16.

He used an 8-iron to sink ths his third ace at RVCC. It was Kilgore's sixth hole-in-one.

Present for the shot were Lloyd Hoffine and Bob Glover.


Gary Scholz aced the eighth hole at Cedar Links Golf Club on Nov. 17.

Scholz made the 115-yard shot with a 9-iron.

The hole-in-one was witnessed by Alan Broyles and Steve Hubler.
