Rogues fall to Seals on late walk

ALAMEDA, Calif. — The Medford Rogues fell to the San Francisco Seals, 5-4, on a walk-off walk at Pat Bail Field on Monday.

Seals center fielder Ryne Edmundson drew the bases-loaded pass to end the game.

Riley Kasper and Chad Pike hit first-inning doubles as the Rogues (3-4) got on the board with two runs.

Kasper and Pike again had hits in the fifth inning, and Kasper stole home for a run.

The Seals (2-4) tied the game in the sixth and took a one-run lead in the eighth.

In the top of the ninth with one out, Medford’s Tanner Cantwell hit his second double of the game. He was replaced by pinch-runner Nate Loranger. Daniel Nist singled up the middle to score Loranger and tie the game.

In the bottom, Edmundson walked on a full count.

Rogues pitcher Bobby Voortmeyer, making his second start, struck out six and held the Seals scoreless until the sixth inning.
