Raiders sweep aside Owls

ASHLAND — The Southern Oregon volleyball team swept Cascade Conference foe Oregon Tech, 30-27, 30-24, 30-23, on Tuesday at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders (12-4, 6-1 CC) have now won 12 straight at home and seven straight overall, while ending Oregon Tech's (12-8, 5-3) five match winning streak.

Mia Wortel had a court-high 14 kills while Richelle Millsap tallied 12 of SOU's 47 total kills. Lindsey Stone was able to rack up 40 set assists while also tallying the second highest dig total (8) for the Raiders; her sister Emily Stone, led the team in digs with nine.


SOUTHERN OREGON 2, WILLIAM JESSUP 0 — At Ashland, Southern Oregon improved to 6-4-1 on the season with a victory over William Jessup.

SOU picked up goals from Nicole Vilarino and Justina MacDowell in the win.

The Raiders continue their season on the road Friday and Saturday.
