Raider men come up short in exhibition

ARCATA, Calif. — Humboldt State took a double-digit halftime lead and coasted to a 97-81 victory over Southern Oregon in a men's basketball exhibition contest Monday night.

Jordan Highland led Southern Oregon with 22 points, while Eric Thompson recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Six different players reached double-figures in the scoring column for NCAA Div. II No. 14 Humboldt State. Brandon Sperling's 19 points led the way, followed by Austin Bryan and Scott Clark, who each tallied 14. Former Ashland High product Matt Lipski finished with 12 points.
