Lane takes down RCC

Danielle VanOrd scored four goals, including a first-half hat trick, and No. 6-ranked Lane Community College tallied three goals in each half to beat Rogue Community College 6-0 in a Northwest Athletic Conference women’s soccer match Wednesday.

VanOrd scored in the 13th, 24th and 31st minutes to help the visitors take control early. She added goals in the 60th.

Also for Lane (10-1-1, 6-1-0 NWAC), Yuuyu Suzuki had a goal and an assist.

Rogue Community College fell to 4-5-1, 3-3-1 in the NWAC.

Men’s Soccer

LANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE 2, ROGUE COMMUNITY COLLEGE 0: Matthew Peagram headed in Cian Cronin’s free kick to give Lane (6-4-1, 3-2-1 NWAC) the only goal it would need early in the first half.

Santos Martinez scored off an assist by Jacob McDonald for the final margin, as the Ospreys fell to 0-7-1, 0-6-0 in league play.
