Rogue Community College will start a volleyball program and compete in the Northwest Athletic Conference South Division in 2019.
“We are stoked,” said RCC athletic director Darren Van Lehn in a press release. “Bringing women’s volleyball to Rogue means more opportunity for local athletes to continue their athletic careers while earning a college education. It also means an exciting new sport for our fans.”
The Ospreys will join 33 other college programs in the NWAC.
The coach has not been hired yet.
Practice and games will be at The Courthouse all-sport facility.
Van Lehn said RCC is looking for eight to 15 players and will hold an open tryout in the spring of next year.
