Sci-fi author to host two Rogue Valley writing events

An award-winning science fiction and fantasy writer will host two events for writers May 5 and 6 in the Rogue Valley, according to a news release.

Fonda Lee, author of "Zeroboxer," which won multiple awards, including the Oregon Spirit Book Award and American Library Association Top 10 Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Readers, will hold a Q&A session from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 5, at Bloomsbury Books, 290 E. Main St., Ashland. It is open to writers of all levels.

Lee will then join the Southern Oregon Willamette Writers for "Story Driven World Building," a workshop set for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 6, at the Central Point City Hall council chambers, 140 S. Third St., Central Point. The event is free to Southern Oregon Willamette Writers members and $10 for visitors.
