Panther pride

The entire student body of South Medford High School threw a rally Friday to celebrate the Panthers' first appearance in a state championship. The fifth-seeded Panthers will take on the No. 2 Clackamas Cavaliers at 12:30 p.m. Saturday for the 6A crown at Reser Stadium in Corvallis. Players and rooter buses will leave Spiegelberg Stadium early in the morning for the game. Multiple local businesses made donations to allow the student fans to ride up to Corvallis affordably, Medford schools spokeswoman Natalie Hurd says.
