Felony arrests

Robbery — Tommy Carlos Olivares, 40, of the first block of Kenwood Way, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Olivares on charges of second-degree robbery, menacing, second-degree theft, possession of heroin and on a fugitive warrant out of California. He was lodged Sunday in the Jackson County jail without bail.

Drugs — Cord Michael Harrison, 28, of the 600 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland. Ashland police Sunday arrested Harrison on charges of possession of heroin and methamphetamine, distribution of heroin within 1,000 yards of a school and for violating the conditions of his probation on a previous drug conviction. He was lodged Sunday in jail without bail.

Sex abuse — Christopher Lee Ramsey, 55, no known address. Medford police Sunday arrested Ramsey on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and private indecency. He was lodged Sunday in jail on $255,000 bail.

Drugs — Brian Matthew Smith, 24, no known address. Central Point police Sunday arrested Smith on charges of possession of methamphetamine, driving while suspended, furnishing false information about a vehicle and for violating the conditions of his parole on a previous drug conviction. He was lodged Sunday in jail without bail.

Drugs — Timothy Richard Weckerle, 46, of the 600 block of Old Stage Road, Central Point. Oregon State Police troopers Sunday arrested Weckerle on warrants charging him with possession of methamphetamine, being a felon in possession of a weapon, and furnishing false information to police. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released Sunday on his own recognizance.

Assault — Christopher Darryl Raper, 29, of the 3200 block of Antelope Road, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Sunday arrested Raper on charges of felony fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest, interfering with a police report and harassment. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released Sunday on his own recognizance.

Sodomy — Nicholas Chance Mata, 18, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Sunday arrested Mata on charges of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was lodged Sunday in jail on $750,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 4100 block of Tamarack Drive, Medford. Medford police at took a report at 5:39 p.m. Monday of a theft of a Rolex watch, Apple TV box and gun supplies from a building. The loss was valued at $1,200.

Vandalism — 2900 block of Doctors Park Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 11:16 a.m. Sunday of vandalism at a business, where windows and a roof vent were broken. The loss was valued at $4,000.

Theft — 200 block of North Bartlett Street, Medford. Medford police at took a report at 12:20 p.m. Sunday of the theft of two cameras and office desks. The loss was valued at $6,500.
