Felony arrests

Aggravated Theft — Jose Manuel Macias, 27, no known address. Central Point police arrested Macias Tuesday on additional felony charges of aggravated first-degree theft and first-degree burglary. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force and Central Point police originally arrested Macias April 11 on a felony charge of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, on warrants for failing to appear in court on charges of attempted first-degree assault, weapon use, unlawful use of a vehicle recklessly endangering and fourth-degree assault, and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail.

Driving While Suspended — Brian Grant Nichols, 60, of the 300 block of West Pine Street, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Nichols Tuesday on an additional felony charge of driving while suspended or revoked, and additional misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering another person and hit-and-run. Central Point police originally arrested Nichols Friday on felony charges of hit-and-run to an injured person, third-degree assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended or revoked, and on a California fugitive warrant. He remained lodged in the jail Tuesday on $367,500 bail.

Drugs — Christopher Michael Falzone, 46, of the 500 block of Northwest Midland Avenue, Grants Pass. Central Point police arrested Falzone Tuesday on felony charges of delivering and possessing heroin. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $20,000 bail.

Assault — Jacob Daniel Lamensdorf, 18, no known address. Medford police arrested Lamensdorf Tuesday on a felony charge of fourth-degree domestic violence assault and a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $7,500 bail.

Sex Offender — Brian Scott Voris, 44, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Voris Tuesday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender and on an out-of-county warrant charging him with hit-and-run. He was lodged in jail Tuesday without bail.

Elude — Kenneth Michael Sikes, 38, no known address. Central Point police arrested Sikes Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with attempting to elude police in a vehicle, a misdemeanor warrant charging him with attempt to elude police on foot, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, reckless driving, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first-degree criminal mischief, possessing a stolen vehicle and public indecency. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $47,500 bail.

Sodomy — Roberto Ramirez-Lara, 62, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ramirez-Lara Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and attempted first-degree rape. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $1 million.

Criminal Mischief — Andrew Kyle Beck, 21, no known address. Medford police and Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Beck Tuesday on felony charges of first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree burglary, and misdemeanor charges of second- and third-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $60,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 700 block of South Grape Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 7:47 a.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included an automated walking roofing welder, three other roofing welders, camping equipment, cooking, clothing and accessories. The loss and damage to two vehicle fuel tanks and nearby fence was valued at $11,000.

Vandalism — 2400 block of Pinebrook Circle, Medford. Medford police took a report of gunshot damage to a window and inside wall at 11 a.m. Monday. The damage was valued at $300.

Theft — 500 block of Stevens Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of several stolen bicycles at 12:44 p.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a blue and white James Durango mountain bike, a green Schwinn Stingray chopper, , a black Specialized Hard Rock and silver BMX bike The loss was valued at $1,160.

Vandalism — 1200 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a glass backboard on a basketball hoop at 2:40 p.m. Monday. The damage was valued at $800.

Robbery — 400 block of Midway Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of robbery at 6:02 p.m. Monday. Items reported stolen included a 52-inch TV, a flashlight and a spotlight. The loss was valued at $490.

Theft — 500 block of South Fir Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen batteries at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included 13 NAPA and Interstate 12-volt top-mount car batteries and five Powerpack battery components. The loss was valued at $1,600.
