A portion of the proceeds from a special performance of Camelot Theatre's upcoming production of "Ghost the Musical" will benefit the Jackson County Animal Shelter.
The benefit performance will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15. The play runs March 8-26, according to the Camelot Theatre website. Based on the Oscar-winning film, the play is about a man named Sam who is murdered and finds himself trapped between this world and the afterlife, and his attempts to communicate with his girlfriend, Molly.
Tickets on March 15 cost $30, with $20 from each ticket sale going to Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS), which puts on programs that benefit the cats and dogs at the shelter.
Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.fotas.org/news/ghost, by calling 541-261-6206 or in person at the FOTAS office in the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway. The shelter is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. on weekends.
