Since You Asked: River gauge high on the Applegate

I live on the Applegate River and refer to the river flows every day. I know where Wilderville is, but where is Applegate River 2(SE)? Thanks.

After all the heavy lifting done here at Since You Asked Central, it's nice to get a softball tossed our way.

The 2(SE) gauge is the highest of three gauges maintained and read on the Applegate River. It's about a quarter-mile downstream of the dam, where a cable spans the river. The river spot's known to steelhead fishermen as the Cable Hole and marks the uppermost deadline for casting.

The other gauges are self-explanatory. The Applegate gauge is near the town of Applegate, while Wilderville is the downstream gauge near that Josephine County burg.
