May 27, 1929 - July 14, 2018
(Bud) Willard D. Kemp went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born May 27, 1929 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania to Willard Dale Kemp Sr. and Wilma Marie Heinrich.
Bud was a true patriot, enlisting in the Army right after high school and spending 20 years in service to this great nation. Upon retiring from the Army in Hawaii, he served as a Navy civil servant. He spent most of his career in the fledgling computer field and in military intelligence. All who knew him understood his love of country and its flag!
Bud was a man of many talents and interests. He loved woodworking, building everything from furniture to toys. He was very musical with a beautiful singing voice and the wonderful ability to whistle a tune. Other interests included boating (he built two boats from the ground up) and RVing. In addition, Bud loved football. He was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and became a Ducks fan later in life.
Bud is survived by his wife, Flo of 50 wonderful years; daughter, Debra Dale Kemp Manning (Robert); sons, John Dean Kemp and Patrick Richard Kemp; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m, July 26, at the Chapel at Eagle Mountain National Cemetery. Reception to follow at 2:30 at the Springs at Veranda Park. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Asante Foundation for Asante Hospice or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
