Willard A. Smith

Willard Ashleigh Smith was born June 12, 1920 in Rogers, Ark., to Leonard and Stella (Mayo) Smith. He and June Maurice Dunkin were married for 70 years until her passing in November 2011. They were members of the Medford Neighborhood church. In San Diego, Calif.

Willard owned and operated his own photography business and also a Bible book store. He and June retired to the Rogue Valley 25 years ago. He enjoyed digging holes and filling them with concrete. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Willard is survived by three sons, Darrell Smith, of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.; Don Smith, of Carnation, Wash.; and Leonard Smith, of Gold Hill, Ore.; sister, Barbara Holtzclaw, of Norman, Okla.

He will be laid to rest beside June in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Memory Gardens Memorial Park and Mortuary is in care of arrangements. www.memorygardensmortuary.com
