Wilbur A. Johnson, 94, of Grants Pass, Oregon died July 6, 2018 at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. He was born December 7, 1923 in Berkeley, California to William “Judge” Johnson and Carrie Abbott Johnson. In 1943 he graduated from Grants Pass High School. During World War II he served in the South Pacific as an Electrician’s Mate on the USS Sederstorm (DE-31). He married Mary Davies October 2, 1947 in Grants Pass. He owned and operated Valley Rogue Guernsey Farms until 1970. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Davies Johnson; son, Gary Johnson; two brothers, Ray Johnson and Cecil Johnson; and his parents. He is survived by his son, Robert Johnson of White City, Ore.; daughter, Kathie Wilson (husband, David) of Grants Pass, Ore.; grandson, Josh Lowe (wife, Amy) of Eugene, Ore.; two granddaughters, Lori Mitchell (husband, Tony) of Grants Pass, Ore. and Carol Wilson of Medford Ore.; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
