Syrama Francis Kympton Brown was born in St. Louis, Mo., on September 7, 1923, and passed away on September 18, 2011, in Medford, Ore. She was the fifth child of six, born to Herman and Willie Bates Kympton. On January 27, 1945., Syrama Sammie wed Thomas Alexander Brown of New York City, N.Y., at the New Cathedral in St. Louis, Mo.
Syrama is survived by her sister, Billie Hensley, of Cape Girareu, Mo.; thirteen nieces and nephews; fortytwo great nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews; and many great-great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, on April 30, 2009; her brother, Jack Kympton, of Oakland, Calif.; three sisters, Thelma Kympton Pomeroy, Helen Kympton Macurdy, of Marble Hill, Mo.; and Ruth Kympton Karleskint, of Kirkwood, Mo; three nephews; two nieces; and two cousins.
Syrama was a gracious person who had a wonderful gentleness about her. She was loved by her sister, family members and her many friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
