Stacy Allen Schrag passed away May 18, 2011, in Portland, Ore. He was born May 27, 1971, to Peggy Porter and Lynn Schrag, in Medford, Ore. Stacy went to North Medford High School, graduating in 1989. He also attended Rogue Community College, and graduated with a digital graphics design degree. Since ten years old, he was a guitar and drum player in several bands. His other interests were biking, skateboarding, photography, reading, printing, and writing songs for bands. His last job was a lead printer for Photocraft in Portland.
Surviving are his parents; grandmother, Patricia Porter; his uncle, Kelly Porter; his two stepbrothers, Pat and Brad Pepper; and his best friend and "other brother", Eric Boyd. He was preceded in death by his "Papa", Roy Porter, and his uncle, Dan Porter. He leaves behind his beloved cat, Wilson.
A memorial service was held at his mom's home at Bear Lake Estates, in Phoenix, Ore., on Saturday, May 21, 2011. There was a benefit held in his honor on May 21, 2011, in Portland, Ore., sponsored by a bicycle racing group, pdxfixed.com. Another memorial ride was on May 27, 2011, his 40th birthday.
