Robert Goldberg

Robert "Bob" Goldberg, 83, of Medford, Ore., passed away Friday, January 20, 2012, at his home. He was born September 25, 1928, to Irving and Fannie Schneider, in New York City, N.Y.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy. His lifetime occupation was as a typographer in New York City, N.Y., and Los Angeles, Calif. He was employed by companies that specialized in work for the advertising and movie industries. Bob was an active ham radio operator in California and Michigan, with the call sign of WB6OFO. He was a lifetime member of the American Radio Relay League. For several years, he volunteered with Jackson County Search and Rescue.

Bob enjoyed reading, movies, trips to Seven Feathers and traveling. His wife, Dolores, and he took several cruises.

Bob is survived by his wife, Dolores; daughter, Jodie Feighner, of the Rogue Valley; son, Harley Tobin; stepson, Jon N. Garner; stepdaughter, Kellie Garner; grandson, Jake Feighner, of the Rogue Valley; step-grandson, John E. Garner, of Calif.; and his faithful dachshund, Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife, Betty; his former wife, Leone; and his brother, Leonard Gordon.
